Boss Up: The Deep Secrets of My Life – Chika Ike

Looking highly stunning in an all-white assemblage, Nollywood actress star, Chika Ike stepped out recently with her newest baby called Boss Up, a book that dug up the deepest secrets surrounding her entire life right from her growing up days to the present. In fact, Chika Ike left nothing behind.

Held at the prestigious Raddison Blu Hotel on Victoria Island, Chika Ike left no one in doubt when he revealed the uncanny experiences that characterised her living and total upbringing.

Stating why the 41 page book is called Boss Up, Chika revealed that the name is a clarion call to take charge, if one does not want to be put under charge. In her words – “If you don’t boss up, you will be bossed around. As a result, Boss Up calls on all and sundry to take absolute control of their lives and total existence in other not to let down their guard.

She further revealed how her father maltreated and left her as well as how her mother single-handedly raised her.

All in all, she surmised:

“Boss up is one of my ways of giving back to the society. Telling my truth isn’t so comfortable because it has been a roller-coaster ride to get to where I’m today. I have failed, made mistakes, trusted, and had my good and bad moments.

“But today I stand firm, stronger than ever and living my best life. Boss up is a 41-chapter book which covers most of the obstacles we encounter in life, including fear, convention, betrayal, love, self-esteem and money.

“It will give you a guide to conquering obstacles and living your best life. All my tips and tricks on how I became this successful are in this book. A girl who had nothing but just her dreams, now a successful filmmaker, a Harvard trained business woman, philanthropist and passionate about empowering people”, she said.

Revealing that the book took seven long years to put together, she added that her mother encouraged her to muster the courage and willpower to publish the book.

Boss up is available in bookshops and online trading centres for a token.

Chike Ike hit limelight when she featured in a Nollywood movie titled ‘Sweet Love’ in 2005. Ever since, she has not looked back, and has gone ahead to make the best of her life, joining celebrity writers like Linda Ikeji, Toke Makinwa and others to delve into book writing as well.

Boos Up is for anyone is wishes to pick the pieces of his life and move on, whoever wishes to excel in his chosen profession and for anyone who the society has labeled a never do well.

Chika Ike maintained that if she could surmount life’s irresponsible problems, anyone else can.

‘We Finally Lost Him’, AGN Confirms Junior Pope’s Death

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has confirmed the death of Nollywood actor, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.

The actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River in Anambra on Wednesday.

Rollas took to his instagram page on Thursday to disclose the sad development as he wrote, “It is so so sad that our joy was shortlived.

“My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers. Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail.

“God knows the best. We finally lost him,” he said.

Junior Pope joined the Nollywood industry in 2006, and started attending movie auditions and acting as a minor character in movies.

He usually played the role of a bodyguard, palace attendant, and servant in movies.

In 2007, he rose to fame after acting in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures”, a movie directed by Tchidi Chikere.

He acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include: “Secret Adventures”, “Mad sex”, “Bitter Generation”, “Vengeance of Bullet”, “The Cat”, “The Generals”, “Wrong Initiation” among others.

I’m No Longer Cut Out for Marriage, Having Kids – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said that she is no longer cut out for marriage or having kids, stressing that her now is only for enjoyment.

Iyabo Ojo, a divorcee, expressed her intention not to seek marriage with her current partner, music executive Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo, saying their realtionship is for companionship.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared, “Marriage – done and dusted. Had kids – done and dusted. Raised my kids – done and dusted. Next stage: Enjoyment! Enjoyment! Enjoyment!”

She added that people should, however, do what makes them happy and works for them.

“This is me. Do you ….. do what makes you happy and what works for you,” she wrote.

Iyabo Ojo is a prominent Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and entrepreneur.

She has been active in the Nigerian film industry, often referred to as Nollywood, for many years.

Ojo has appeared in numerous movies and has gained recognition for her talent and versatility as an actress. Apart from her acting career, she has also ventured into film production.

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Amaechi Muonagor Dies at 61

Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor, has reportedly passed on. He was 61.

The actor suffered kidney failure and has been on dialysis.

His demise on Sunday came just few days after a video, where he was soliciting funds for Kidney transplant went viral.

His death comes weeks after another Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, died.

No official statement has yet been released.
