Just In: Top Yoruba Writer, Oladejo Okediji Dies At 89

Top Yoruba writer, Oladejo Okediji is dead .He reporedly died in the early hours of Wednesday at 89, according to one of his children, Goke.

Goke told a Punch correspondent on the phone that the deceased was not sick before his demise.

It was learnt that hordes of sympathisers have besieged the residence of the late writer located at the Mabolaje area of Oyo Town in Oyo State.

Baba Okediji,  The author of foremost Yoruba thrillers combined the creativity of James Hadley Chase with the brilliance of Arthur Conan Doyle to give us Atoto Rere, Agbalagba Akan, Ajo  Lo Leru and Rere.
