The Story of My Pregnancy, My Baby, My Baby Papa – Linda Ikeji

Published

By Precious Chukwuemeka

When news of Linda Ikeji’s pregnancy hit social media, there were varying reactions, most especially shock over the controversial blogging queen’s stance on celibacy and the increasing number of baby mothers. Even more newsworthy was the mystery behind the father of the baby, who was speculated to be Deltan oil and mogul, Sholaye Jeremi.
However, with the birth of the handsome baby boy, named Jayce Jeremi, as well as the detailed post by Linda Ikeji, explaining the events leading up to her relationship with Sholaye, including 2hour commutes, suddenly “falling pregnant” and alleged abandonment, the story has gotten more attention from the public. In the post, she revealed that
“I’ve always been open about my life but I’m sharing details about my personal life mostly because of the girls who look up to me…The father of my child is a single man and his name is Sholaye Jeremi. To be honest, at some point I thought he was my final bus stop but you know how life happens…lol. Unfortunately he and I are a completely closed chapter…I walked away from this man a million times and he came after me a million and one times. No matter how much I pushed him away, he kept coming back and me, because I couldn’t find anyone else, I kept going back…Then I fell pregnant. It wasn’t planned, it just happened…But still, I have absolutely no regret meeting Sholaye. Gosh have you seen Jayce? How can I regret that? God doesn’t make mistakes…I thought God led me to this man as my life partner but I guess He just used him as a vessel for my greatest blessing”.
The internet is currently abuzz with memes, posts and more, all trolling Miss Ikeji on not practicing what she once preached. Some of the reactions include,

@kachizone: Linda Ikeji wrote an epistle of how she celibately got pregnant out of wedlock (lol), hence becoming a baby-mama which she consistently criticized – karma is serving her a perfect dose that nobody is perfect! “Nobody holy pass”
@_Seunfunmi___: I know one popular aunty that criticized a certain category of women. Now she has joined them and I’m seeing the latest edition of bedtime stories. Linda Ikeji the latest baby mama
@sojihausa: The only thing I got from her story is she used 2hrs to drive from Banana Island to Mobil and she fell into pregnancy #lindaikeji
@NubianHuman: This Linda Ikeji story…if you criticize something long enough, you will find a way to become it.
@TheAmusan simply said, “That Linda Ikeji story is just super story”

These shocked and amused reactions are not only from the general public as well. The ever jovial personality posted a video shot by a friend, in which the friend jokingly referred to her as “baby mama”, to which she burst out laughing. The media personality in self-amusement captioned the video “How I react when my friends call me a baby mama” followed by several laughing emoticons.

Last weekend, the beautiful Linda took baby, Jayce to church to be dedicated, surrounded by family and friends who were there to support her. Sholaye was, however, missing from the whole affair and has not reacted to the posts, although some friends have come to his defense claiming that his relationship with Linda was nothing but a fling and she had gotten pregnant in order to trap the billionaire with marriage.
