Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Ovation Media Group, Chief Dele Momodu, has paid glowing tributes to a former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, who died on Thursday, in Accra, at the age 76.
In a statement he shared on his social media handles, and made available to The Boss, Chief Dele Momodu went down memory lane to recall the endearing moments he spent with the Rawlings family, including when he invited the entire Rawlings family to Nigeria, where Guv’nor Ken-Caleb Olumese, gave them a grand reception, among other grand situations, which brought them together in the past.
“It was such a great honour to have known, and interacted, actively with Ghana’s First Family, the former PRESIDENT FLT. LT. JERRY JOHN RAWLINGS and the FIRST LADY NANA KONADU AGYEMAN-RAWLINGS,” Momodu reminisced.
The statement in full:
DELE MOMODU pays tribute to Her Excellency NANA KONADU AGYEMAN-RAWLINGS: It was such a huge honor to have known, and interacted, actively with Ghana’s First Family, the former PRESIDENT FLT. LT. JERRY JOHN RAWLINGS and the FIRST LADY NANA KONADU AGYEMAN-RAWLINGS… I once invited the entire RAWLINGS family to Lagos at the prompting of GUV’NOR KEN CALEB-OLUMESE of NITESHIFT COLISEUM, who gave former President RAWLINGS a Grand House Reception in Opebi, Lagos…
The famous couple also joined me on stage to honor the fallen hero and celebrated Poet PROFESSOR KOFI AWOONOR, who was killed by terrorists in Kenya, while his son AFETSI escaped with bullet wounds to his shoulder. Ovation International had endowed a first of its kind Poetry Competition, headed by PROFESSOR KOFI ANYIDOHO, in his memory at the University of Ghana, Legon…
The First couple also granted their longest interviews ever to Ovation International, at their homes in Accra and Volta Region…
May their souls Rest in Peace…
