The presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi and Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have expressed their condolences to popular singer, Davido, his fiancee, Chioma and the Adeleke family in the death of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who reported died after drowning in a swimming pool.
The front line presidential candidates took to the verified Tweeter handles to separately empathize with the family.
Peter Obi wrote: “I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.-PO”
On his part, the PDP candidate said: “My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and Chioma and the Adeleke family at this time. I pray for God to strengthen and comfort them. -AA”
The young Davido was reported found drowned in the swimming in his father’s house at Banana, and was confirmed dead when he was rushed to the hospital.
