Varane ‘Working Hard’ to Recover from Injury, Says Solskjaer

Date:

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has said French defender Raphael Varane is working hard to recover from a groin muscle injury sustained on international duty earlier this month.

Varane sustained the injury during the first half of the UEFA Nations League final which France won 2-1 against Spain at the San Siro.

This has seen him miss United’s Premier League game against Leicester City and also the game against Atalanta in the Champions League.

He’s also going to miss the club’s clash with Liverpool and Tottenham.

“He’s working hard,” Solskjaer told MUTV when asked for an update on Varane’s injury.

“As I said, it’s hard to put a time limit on players that you don’t really know, but he’s been on the grass and who knows?”
