Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi has been appointed the United Nations Special Representative for Sustainable Energy by the world body’s Secretary-general, António Guterres.
Announcing Ogunbiyi’s appointment on Tuesday, Guterres also stressed that she would act as the Co-Chair of United Nations-Energy.
The announcement comes on the heels of the world’s entry into the final decade towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) – access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030.
