Eden Hazard has reportedly accepted an offer from Real Madrid that will see him double his wages.
The 28-year-old is on the verge of a transfer from Chelsea to the Spanish capital believed to be around £88million.
The breakthrough was finally made between the two clubs on Thursday and it is expected to be announced in the near future.
This deal could potentially rise to £130million due to add-ons.
Standard Sport reported that Hazard has already agreed personal terms with Madrid.
He is understood to have accepted a salary of £400k-a-week, up from his £200k-a-week at Chelsea, in a five-year deal to make him one of the best paid players at the Bernabeu.
Things have progressed this week with the deal for the Belgium international.
Real Madrid chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez flew into London to try and complete the deal on Monday.
Hazard’s move to the Spanish capital had appeared to have hit a stumbling block when he left without an agreement being made.
But the breakthrough was then made on Thursday and it looks like the forward will be playing his football in LaLiga next season.
