5-time World Footballer of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo scored showed his class tonight as his side Italian giants, Juventus beat Spanish side, Atletico Madrid 3-0 to qualify to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Ronaldo scored two headers and slotted in a penalty late in the game to take the tie, 3-2 in aggregate.

Juventus started the game on a high, pressing their opponents from the blast of the whistle and would have opened scoring in the 20th minute but the goal was overruled by the referee for an infringement on the Atletico Keeper, Oblak.

Apart from scoring three goals, it short out the Spanish side with no shot on goal throughout the  match.

With the hat trick Ronaldo now has eight Champions League hat tricks, equalling the record held by Lionel Messi
