Following the invasion of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s plane by the Department of Security Service (DSS) after he returned from a two weeks trip to Dubai, spokesman of the Atiku Campaign Organization, Segun Shobomi, has said that the security agency may have been doing their job.
Shobomi made the statement while giving his own side of the invasion story during a telephone interview with STV.
He noted that though the agency seems to be doing their job, but they must go about it without infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens like Atiku.
He admitted that the DSS actually came to search the plane with lots of camera and a crowd, ‘only God knows what they were looking for’.
Atiku left the country for Dubai about two weeks ago and returned about 2am this Sunday.
It will be recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had called on the DSS to probe Atiku’s Dubai trip.
