Toyin Saraki Remembers Ebola Heroine, Dr Ameyo Adadevoh

Founder/ President, Wellbeing Foundation Africa has penned a remembrance for the celebrated medical doctor, Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh whose tenacity stopped the spread of what could have been an Ebola epidemic in Nigeria.

Taking to her official instagram handle, Mrs Saraki, who is also wife of Nigeria’s President of the Senate wrote “A word to remember the brave, Dr Stella Amayo Adadevoh who died on August 19, 2014….”

It will be recalled that the late Dr. Adadevoh with a strong will and strict  adherence to professionalism prevented an Ebola Patient, a Liberian, Mr. Patrick Sawyer from leaving First Consultants Medical Centre, Ikoyi where she had worked for decades.

Her action helped to stop the spread of the disease and was applauded by all.She eventually paid the supreme price after having been in contact with the infected Sawyerr. Her bravery has been aptly captured in a movie titled “90 days.She was 57.
