The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has sounded a note of warning to aspirants under the platform of the party to desist from using his name to seek attention towards being elected, adding that on no account must an aspirant borrow to contest any election.

Tinubu sent this note of warning while addressing the Lagos APC Stakeholders meeting on Tuesday at the party secretariat in Ikeja.

The party leader also declared Lagos APC’s firm support for the President, Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole while affirming that the recent defections the party has suffered in recent time, will not affect its fortunes.

He frowned at the way uncollected PVCs littered most secretariat, and said stiffer sanctions await council chairpersons with high numbers of uncollected PVCs as well as any party functionary or aspirant that hoards or prevents new members’ registration.

He appreciated members’ contribution and cooperation and reiterated that there will be no anointed candidate for any post while maintaining that all registered party members will be issued party cards before the primaries.
