Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa are meeting stakeholders in the South East, in Enugu.
The meeting is part of the presidential candidate’s consultations with party stakeholders at the Zonal level.
Atiku held a similar meeting with stakeholders in the South West, in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital weeks back.
The South East has constantly decried the marginalization of the Zone whenever the presidential ticket of the PDP is being discussed.
Party leaders in the zone have argued that the zone deserves more for substantially keeping faith with the PDP brand since inception in 1998.
Attended by many top guns including Acting BOT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara and Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu, conspicuously absent was Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
