There ia palpable tension in Rivers State as the House Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon Edison Ehie, has been removed from his position.
Making the announcement through a video circulated by Channels TV on X, the speaker said the motion to remove Ehie garnered 23 votes for, none against and none absentia.
Sources say that the removal is to pave the way for the impeachment of the executive Governor.
Meanwhile, security operatives in their numbers have taken over the premises of the Assembly complex and the roads leading to it to forestall impending crisis.
The Boss learnt that the plot to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara by former Governor Nyesom Wike’s loyalists is the cause of the entire crises, including the explosion that occurred in the complex on Sunday night.
