The Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aminu Bayero has received Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant, Chief Dele Momodu, in his palace in Kano.
The private meeting, which was held on Sunday presented an opportunity for seasoned entrepreneur-cum-politician to announce his Intention to vie for the presidency of Nigeria come 2023.
Revealing that he is endowed with the requisite requirements to run the country to fruitful recovery, Momodu told the monarch that Nigeria need a very cerebral individual to turn its fortune around.
In his response, the Emir, who confessed of his respect for the veteran journalist, commended his courage to undertake the task of rescuing Nigeria, and his professionalism in his chosen field of endeavour, saying “I love your style of doing things.
“It may interest you to know that I am the biggest customer of Ovation International magazine and has bought virtually every copy. I sometimes send for Ovation via courier,” he said.
The graduate of Mass Communications from the Bayero University, Kano, who ascended the throne of his forefathers in March 2020, also said that he has been following closely the consultations of Momodu enroute the presidency, and wholeheartedly prayed for him, and wished him the best in his quest to be president.
“I have been watching you from a distance. And I must tell you that I knew you way back and knows of your friendship with my immediate younger brother, The Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Bayero,” the monarch added.
