Seasoned businessman and Peoples’ Democratic Party ( PDP) Gubernatorial aspirant Pastor Umo Eno in continuation of his consultation and engagement with stakeholders has visited Ikot Ekpene where he promised to build an industrial park to facilitate job creation.

The visit which was to consult with the political leader of Ikot Ekpene, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien, at his country home in Ikot Abia Idem was attended by other leaders of the area.
According to Umo Eno, ” Ikot Ekpene people are good traders and businessmen. If I’m elected as governor, I will open an industrial area for the youths where they can ply their trade and acquire self-reliance skills.
“My administration will focus on the middle class to create more job opportunities for Akwa Ibom youths. The middle class is the class that will make sure that things happen in the state’s economy.
“I promise to revive Ibom Science Park to engage Akwa Ibom youths in ICT and create employment instead of waiting for white-collar jobs.
My administration will pay attention to rural development by ensuring that basic amenities are provided for the people in the grassroots.
“This is because the areas deserve to enjoy dividends of democracy. My administration will further the peace and prosperity of Akwa Ibom State as started by Governor Udom Emmanuel, which is the panacea for sustainable development.
If I can achieve what I’ve achieved in Royalty Hotel as an individual, I can do more if allowed to manage the state resources as governor. I know how to build from bottom to top, and I will teach our youths how to achieve success by starting small and growing big
I appreciate the National Coordinator of Maintain Peace Movement, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, who described Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien as a man that is a heavy political weight posited that he has the capacity to deliver his area in any election.
He added that Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien is “the most consistent politician” in the state who has remained faithful to the party and also contributed immensely to the political development of the State.
“I thank the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Monday Ebong Uko, and Sen. Aloysius Etok also spoke and assured me of the support of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
Going down memory lane on the formation of PDP, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien, said he is always happy to witness the astronomical growth of PDP in the state and pledged his support to Pastor Umo Eno just as he endorsed his aspiration to succeed Governor Emmanuel in 2023.
The Chairman, Governing Council of Ritman University, and former Senate Deputy Chief Whip said he has never been associated with political failure and assured the aspirant of his success in the PDP primaries and the general election.
