Late Sardauna Bello’s Grandson, Magajin Gari of Sokoto, Dies at 52

A grandson of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, who was also the Magajin Gari of Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Danbaba, is dead. He reportedly died in Kaduna on Saturday morning at the age of 52, after a brief illness.

The diseased, who until his death, was the 13th Magajin Gari of Sokoto, was a grandson of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto who was the premier of Northern Nigeria, through his daughter, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello.

The late Magajin Gari of Sokoto was turbaned on October 31, 1997, at the age of 27.

He was expectedly buried on Saturday according to Islamic rites
