Amiable society lady who has spent decades in the beauty therapy business, Dr. Mary Charles is the new President of the Practitioners of Spa and Beauty Association of Nigeria (POSBAN).

Mary Charles, a Rotarian, was inducted along with members of the new Executive: Jumai Longe (Vice President), Maryrose Adebayo (Secretary), Folashade Akhigbe, Sari Ajaja (PRO), Rekha Udesi (Training Director), Uche Umana (Compliance Officer) and Kenny Ogunde), at a lively event in Lekki, Lagos.

In her inaugural speech, the new President began by showering glowing tribute on the association’s past president, Mrs. Toyin Collins and the outgoing Exco for laying a solid foundation for the association.

While promising to take the association to the next level, she said the Exco’s 4-point agenda are: Regularizing beauty business taxation and create ease of payments, create a platform where beauty business owners, practitioners and their workforce can verify businesses, staff and vendors, create and harness local and international opportunities for registered members and create free staff training programmess for registered members.

In her words “I promise to bring urgency to this job, and to strive to make positive change happen in POSBAN”
POSBAN also has a Board of Trustees whose members are: Tara Durotoye, Funmike Roberts, Toyin Collins, Joyce Busari, Daisy Obiano, Lilian Collins and Dr. Mary Charles.
