Four unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the district head of Daura, Musa Umar, who is also an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari
Umar, a former Customs officer, is married to the daughter of Buhari’s sister, Hajiya Bilki.
He is also said to be the father of Fatima Musa, wife of Colonel Mohammed Abubakar, the Aide de Camp (ADC) to Mr Buhari.
The attackers shot sporadically on Wednesday at about 7 pm to disperse the crowd before whisking the traditional ruler away in a Peugeot 406 saloon car.
Umar had just returned from the mosque where he took part in the evening prayer before the incident occurred.
