The Congress Hall of Abuja Hilton Hotel was a beehive of commendations as former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, celebrated a three-in-one achievement.
The celebration also hosted the launching of the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Foundation and a Book titled “My Transition Hours”.
Dignitaries at the one-day event including President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Mustapha Boss, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, his Vice, Atiku Abubukar, former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, and many others took turns to eulogize the celebrant with colourful words, particularly for his maturity and exceptional qualities after the 2015 general elections.
In his remark, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, while commenting on reasons for writing the book “My Transition Hours” and setting up a foundation, also charged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and politicians alike to resolve the issues associated with electorate inducement.
The event enjoyed a large turnout of members of the PDP family including the chairman, Uche Secondus, Deputy Senate President, Sneator Ike Eweremadu, Atiku Abubukar, former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, Governors of Akwa Ibom and River States, Emmanuel Udom, and Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Chief Bode George.
Others include former President of Ghana, Dramani Mahama, Hajia Bola Shagaya, Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred, Aisha Babangida, Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Presidents of Sierra Leone and Benin Republic Ernest Koroma and Boni Yayi as well as Chairman of Ovation Media Group, Bashorun Dele Momodu, among others.
