Embattled Yoruba Nation advocate, who has been seeking asylum in the Republic of Benin in the last two years, Sunday Igboho Adeyemi, has finally regained his freedom.
Celebrating his freedom on Sunday via a life broadcast on his social media platforms, the activist, showered encomiums on some personalities, who gave him needed support during his travails.
Among notable individuals mentioned are Chairman, Ovation Media Group, Chief Dele Momodu, who took it upon himself to pay him a surprise visit in Cotonou among other encouragement acts; former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, selected Yoruba obas among others.
Igboho, as he is popularly called, was arrested at the Cotonou airport in 2021 while attempting to a board a flight to Germany, by Benin security operatives. This was after he fell out with Nigerian Government while agitating for a Yoruba nation.
