For its sustained campaign against drug abuse and trafficking, Silec Initiatives, a not for profit Nigerian organisation, has been officially issued a certificate of partnership by the acclaimed WorldChicago.
The event followed a five years of collaboration between two two groups on Citizenship Diplomacy Leadership Exchange Program in Chicago Illinois United States of America in Leadership and capacity development in the fight against drug abuse and other related social vices in Nigeria.
The document was signed and handed over to the Founder/President of Silec Initiatives, Amb. Sunny Irakpo by the President, Peggy Parfenoff on behalf of WorldChicago, during a brief ceremony that heralded the closing ceremony of the 2023 Exchange Program tagged ‘An Evening of Nigerian Culture, Networking and Awards’ at WorldChicago head office in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Designed to promote the totality of the Nigerian cultural heritage, in the United States of America and across the globe, the event witnessed participants and invited guests dressed in diverse Nigerian cultural attire.
Expressing his profound gratitude, Irakpo on behalf of Silec Initiatives, lauded the president and board members of WorldChicago for the sheer confidence and love for Nigeria as well as helping to provide solutions to various social challenges confronting the most populous black Nation on earth.
“On behalf of SILEC and every Nigerian, i appreciate this convivial relationship to make the world a better place for all. We promised to keep the terms of reference for the common goal of all.
Mr Irakpo, however called on both the federal and state governments, corporate organizations as well as well meaning individuals across the globe to support the laudable objectives of initiative to help reposition the youths for greater national development through exchange programme.
