Former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rtn Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and family members gave a glorious farewell to their matriarch, Dame Dorothy Nsoma Ihedioha in Aronta Mbutu Mbaise, Imo State.

The entire town was enveloped with as Mbutu, fanfare as prominent Nigerians came to honour the departed and celebrate her imactful life.

The funeral service unfolded at St. Peters Anglican Church, as soon as her remains and the funeral Cortese which included an horse-drawn carriage arrived rhe church.

In his sermon The Most Revd. Henry Ndukuba extolled the virtues of Dame Dorothy who reportedly lived a life of dedication and service to God.

The burial attracted the presence of Mr Peter Obi, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Rt Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; PDP Acting National Chairman, Amb. Damagum, Prince Uche Secondus, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu, Mr. Tunde Ayeni, Chief Kanayo O. Kanayo, Kanu Nwankwo, among others.

Dame Dorothy who died at age 90 was born to the late Eze Johnson Nwaobasi Okereke and Lolo Mercy Nwanyinma Okereke in Okpala, Imo State.

She was the only child of her mother, and dearly loved by her father who named her Nnennaya (mother of her father).

She got married to the late Nze BMG Ihedioha in 1951 and they were blessed with children.
