Nnamdi Kanu Pleads Not Guilty to Amended Charges, Case Adjourned to Feb 16

Date:

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has pleaded not guilty to the 15 count charges proffered against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Recall Mr Kanu objected to taking a plea yesterday on the basis that he had not been briefed on the fresh charges against him.

Kanu’s lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome had opposed the re-arraignment of his client stating that they were served only on Monday and had no time to brief the client.

The case was therefore adjourned till February 16 2022.
