What a grand celebration it was for Mrs. Adenike Adamolekun, Founder, Supreme Education Foundation Schools (SEF) and her team as the institution marked three decades of imparting knowledge and impacting the world.
The school rolled out the drums to celebrate its stakeholders: founder, staff, alumni and students at a colourful ceremony held inside its impressive School Auditorium in Magodo, Lagos.
Official proceedings began with an opening prayer after which the event ran smoothly with music, speeches and a word of exhortation. Interestingly, each segment of the day’s occasion was compered by different sets of students, an indication of SEF’s first-rate grooming.
Thanking God Almighty for the journey so far, the Founder, Mrs. Adamolekun relived the tough beginning where the facility was a bare land, and building had to be erected one after the other. “All we had was a dream to discover and transform students positively in the service of God and humanity.”
Today, we are among the few private schools in Lagos that boasts of space (4 acres of land) with state-of-the-art facilities. Indeed, it has been 30 years of success, love, engagement, impartation and above all, bringing hope to the hopeless.
In her her remarks, Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, (who was a former Principal of SEF), saluted the doggedness of the Founder, the Advisory Board and the staff. She wished the school many more years of accomplishments.
CEO, Mrs Olubukola Adewuyi said the school since inception has built a track record of excellence in learning and teaching but it is not resting on its oars. She noted that the instition will continue to improve on staff upgrade and curriculum “We are renewed, refreshed and refueled for the next decade.”
The Advisory Board: Leke Ogunlewe, Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Yemi Adamolekun, Bewaji Oyewole, Gladys Talabi, Lanre Adamolekun and Ayopeju Njideka led by Mr Ademola Aladekomo as Chairman also spent time thanking the staff and later presented long service awards and monetary gift to staff who have spent 20 years and above.
The event was fun-filled as students of senior and junior classes showed their dexterity by thrilling guests with dance performances from South Africa, Bini, Asia etc. It was a wondrous celebration enjoyed by all.
