Sanwo-Olu Honours Mobolaji Johnson, Renames Onikan Stadium after Him

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Tuesday renamed the Onikan Stadium after the late military governor of Lagos, Brigadier-General Mobolaji Johnson.

In a video, that was shared by Jubril Gawat, his New Media aide, Sanwo-Olu said that the stadium would now be known as Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson Stadium.

Gawat tweeted, “ Governor @jidesanwoolu honours the Late Brig Gen Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson by naming the Onikan Stadium after him, It will now be known as Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson Stadium.”

Mobolaji Johnson, who died earlier in November was the first Military Governor of Lagos State.
