Members of Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club has been reportedly attacked at a location near Lokoja in Kogi State by gang of armed robbers dressed in NYSC uniforms.
According to a press of the club’s management, the armed robbers opened fire on sighting their bus, and seriously injured the driver and some players.
The injured players are currently receiving treatment at a hospital where they were rushed to.
Ifeanyi Ubah FC, also known as Anambra Warriors were on their way to honour an NPFL match day six with Jigawa Golden Stars.
The management of the privately owned football club is calling on the public to remember the team in prayers at a time like this.
