The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. David Lyon, who was on Saturday elected governor of Bayelsa, has paid a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
Mr. Lyon who defeated his closest rival and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Duoye Diri, helped APC create a record of dislodging the PDP from the state after 20 years of continuous rule.
In the entourage were senior officials of the party from both state and national level.
He will take the oath of office in January to replace Mr. Seriake Dickson.
