The Colisieum in Lekki, Lagos Island was in a frenzy weekend when friends of accomplished policeman and celebrated crime fighter, DIG Taiwo Lakanu, organised a classic all white party to celebrate his 60th birthday.
The super cop, who was all smiles throughout the night, holds a Masters degree in Law from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK.
The party, which witnessed glamour, thrills and frills, had in attendance the cream de la cream of the society including white cap chiefs who came to honour the Akogun of Lagos on his special day.
Juju crooner, Ayo Balogun, lifted the atmosphere with the best of Juju music, filling the dance floor with so much Ecstasy with as the wife of the celebrant Omowunmi, other family members and friends danced their hearts out.
Members of the committee of friends, under the chairmanship of Mr. Rotimi Edu, among others were on hand to shower loads of enconiums on the celebrant.
Taiwo Lakanu was part of the Special anti robbery team that ended the reign of Shina Rambo in the 80s.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Prince Bisi Olatilo, Segun Ajibola SAN, Chief Dapo Ajayi, Chief Deji Akinyele, Tayo Gbajabiamila. Peter Obafemi, Chief Hakeem Alobo-Bakare, Toyin Ibrahim, Chief Dayo Amusat and Biodun Oki.
