The Salu family couldn’t hide their joy as they pull all stops to celebrate the 80th birthday of their matriarch, Mrs. Modupe Salu.
The event which was characterised by lots of fanfare, and razzmatazz, was held at the Chemline House, off Oba Akran Road, Ikeja, Lagos with loved ones, family members and friends in attendance.
The very lively occasion began with prayers by Venerable Kayode Oredugba.
This was followed by a session of tributes where Mama’s children as well as other family members and friends took time out to shower encomiums on a woman described as kind hearted.
With lots of words of thanksgivings rending the air, merriment flowed from every corner.
The highly elated celebrant puts it thus: “I thank God for sparing my life and blessing me in many ways”.
Surrounded by those who loved her, the octogenarian cut her cake amid shouts of accomplishment and happiness.
Many dignitaries who graced the event include Gbenga Olunloyo, Alhaji Sikiru Awotuga, Chief Gbenga Ogunlesi, Femi Sanyan-Olu, Rev. (Mrs.) Bolanle Adefeso, Mrs. Olubukola Craig, and Mr. and Mrs. Sanusi Akeem.
