FG Reschedules Abuja Carnival

The Federal Government has rescheduled the annual Abuja carnival to hold from November 23 to November 25.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Grace Gekpe said the postponement was to enable the ministry plan adequately for a robust event.

Gekpe expressed regret at the inconvenience caused by the postponement, however, assured the public of a robust carnival in a statement she made in Abuja.

Just like the popular Calabar carnival, the Abuja carnival draws participants from states across the country, as well as foreign tourists to witness the annual carnival that holds in the first week of November in the city capital with events such as road shows, music, cultural dances, masquerades and Durbar.
