A Solemn Evening of Tributes for Late Prof. Pius Adesanmi in Lagos

Many could not hide their emotions as they eulogized late Professor of African Literature at Carlton University, Canada, Prof. Pius Adesanmi in Lagos.

The very solemn gathering, held at Dosunmu Street, GRA, Ikeja was attended mostly by friends from the academia and media.

Damiete Briade, Adenike Adebisi & Funmi Adewola

Adesanmi, a writer and columnist died alongside 156 others on the Ethiopian Airline aircraft that crashed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday March 10, 2019.

Anchored by Mrs Lola Shoneyin, the event which kicked off with the signing of a condolence register was followed by a reading of his citation and a session of tributes titled “The Pius I know”

Celebrated guests in attendance included Chairman, Ovation Media Group, Bashorun Dele Momodu, Oladiende Auto. Ms Juliet Ajamufua, Kayode Imo and Amb. Ayoola Olukanmi.
