Tafo arena in Eleyele Ibadan, was agog recently as Olori Folashade, wife of Minnesota, USA based Prince Adeleke Ijiyode celebrated her 50th birthday in style.
The classy event which began with the grand entrance of the celebrant and her family to the admiration of all their guests, continued with spirited praise and worship session led by Mrs Bukky Ajayi.
That done, Reverend Graceman Yemi Aduloju of Lighthouse International Christian Centre, LICC, shared an inspiring word of God titled “The man that God makes”. The clergy itemised ten qualities required to be made of God, “as evident in the life of the celebrant, Olori Folashade Ijiyode,” who is also “a dedicated member” and an ordained Deaconess at LICC, Ibadan, before she relocated to join her husband in Minnesota, USA.
The event tagged “Celebrating God’s Extravagant Grace” was organised and sponsored by her husband Prince Adeleke Ijiyode” as a way to thank her for her total and absolute love”.
Their children: Princess Temitope, Princess Opemipo and Prince Adesoji, described the celebrant- their mum with colourful words including “the best, caring and sacrificial” mum.
The birthday bash chaired by the Vice Chairman of University of Ibadan, Profesor Idowu Olayinka, was characterised by many high points including: mimicking of the celebrant by some of the students she taught at Army Day secondary school and cutting of the beautiful 50th birthday cake.
Planned by NG ushers and events, the 50th birthday celebration was made more entertaining by melodious tunes from Wole Sax.
Guests in attendance included: The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, represented by his sisters Princess Folashade, Princess Adesola and Princess Bimpe; Senator Jide Omoworare, Hon. Rotimi Makinde former House of Representatives member, Oba Ademola Ademiluyi, Oba Adesina Charles Ogunwusi, Prince Sunkami Ogunwusi, Senior Magistrate (Prince) Lekan Ijiyode, Hon.Olumide Ayilara, Funke Owolola & Bisi Owolola, Hon.Kayode Ogundele, Mr. Ojuolape Olagbaju, High Chief Seun Oni, Barr. Lere Alayinde, Dr. Dele Odanye, Dr. Wale Adeniyi, among others.
Olori Folasade Ijiyode was born on October 9, 1968.
