Aworis Protest:All The Lagos Senators Are Not Our Indigenes

Date:

By Eric Elezuo

The Awori ethnic nationality of Lagos State has lamented the lopsidedness of political appointments and elected positions in Lagos State which it said completely sidelined the section, saying that none of the three Senators currently representing the State is even from the state.

Making this assertion was the President of Awori Concerned Elders, Chief Solomon Ojogo, during a press briefing to address the alleged maginalisation.

The meeting, which was in conjunction with the Awori Welfare Association of Nigeria (AWAN), decried what it called the maginalisation of the group where even ‘easterners’ decide for them in various law making platforms.
