Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has conceded defeat in the All Progressives Congress ( APC) Gubernatorial Primary held yesterday.
In a short state wide broadcast Governor Ambode congratulated the winner, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his victory and urged party members to back him ahead of the 2019 polls.
According to him ” It is time for the business of the state to continue and the last few days have been hectic. APC is a great party and I wish to thank our national leader, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our party for giving me the opportunity to serve”
Governor Ambode noted that he is passionate about the development of Lagos and will spend the next six months working to ensure that the state continues to grow.He promised to ensure a smooth transition of government come 2019.
