The wife of the Senate President and Founder, Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, has expressed happiness at the debut of Lifebouy in Nigeria.
Mrs Saraki’s delight at welcoming the health oriented company and product to the shores of the country is also hinged on the fact that it happened on her birthday, and could not not wish for a better birthday gift.
Wellbeing Foundation Africa, in partnership with Lifebouy, is poised to deliver adequate healthcare to Nigeria in terms of clean water provision, sanitation and hygiene to over two million Nigerian children and their families and communities within 12 months.
To her as well, the arrival of Lifebouy to Nigeria, is a fulfillment of a dream she had harboured since 2013 when she first encountered the product in India.
In her words:
“Today I received the best birthday present ever.
“For years I have worked to improve Nigeria’s grim water-related health outcomes, particularly for our children. Clean water is essential to health, wellbeing and life.
“I first saw the impact of Lifebuoy in India in 2013 and I have wanted this for Nigeria ever since.
“I am delighted that today, on my birthday, as Founder-President of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, I can welcome Lifebuoy to Nigeria in our exciting new partnership that will deliver water, sanitation and hygiene to two million children, their families and communities in the next 12 months.
“Clean hands save lives. Welcome to Nigeria,” Mrs Saraki said.
The Wellbeing Foundation Africa was founded in 2004 by Her Excellency, Mrs Toyin Ojora Saraki, with the aim of improving health outcomes for women, infants and children.
