Saraki Brokers Peace Between Osun PDP Factions

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has restored peace between the warring factions of the Osun State Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the September 22 governorship election in the state.

Saraki, who was recently appointed the leader of the 85-member National Campaign Council for the Osun State 2018 election, reconciled the two main factions led by the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Ademola Adeleke and Mr. Akin Ogunbiyi, he runner up of the state primary election. The two leaders were made to voluntarily sign an agreement towards peaceful co-existence.

The reconciliation effort was Saraki’s first step towards ensuring that the party wins the September 22 election.
