With the need to provide adequate platform to boost the economy of the nation through entrepreneurship at the back of his mind, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Construction Limited, Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele, organized a one day internship programme aimed at grooming young entrepreneurs and mentoring the youths.

The event, which attracted youths from various parts of the state, was held at the site of Sujimoto limited-GIULIANO DE’MEDICI, Banana Island, Lagos with classic mentors and speakers, who have proved their mettle in entrepreneurship and their various chosen field of endeavours. Some of them included the CEO, Ovation Media Group, Chief (Dr.) Dele Momodu, Debola Williams, Peter Okoye (Mr. P) of the defunct PSquare, Hon. Jimi Muhammed, Arch. Tosin Osinowo, Comedian Bovi, Dr. Chima Anyaso and many others.

The programme, which was anchored by Nedu of the WAZOBIA FM fame, started with registration of participants after which a Sujimoto Construction based intern, Ayo Odunsi, gave a rousing welcome speech.

With the event gaining momentum, introductory discussion on the programme of the day was undertaken by Engineer Lamid, Arc Taofeek, P. M. Djamil among before the floor was opened for the host, Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele, for the Sujimoto vision speech.

In his speech, Mr. Ogundele hinted that this was one of his own ways of giving back to the society, promising that the gesture will be sustained.

Guests and participants were provided the opportunity thereafter to ask questions bordering in entrepreneurship, for which answers were provided by the eminent personalities on ground. It was also a grand opportunity to ‘meet and greet’ celebrities in attendance, as well as initiate interpersonal conversations with them.

The platform also gave opportunity for many of the bidding entrepreneurs in attendance to pitch their business ideas, with the three best ideas winning fabulous prices.

While Dike Oganiru and Sofunwa Fisayo won a Iphone x each, as runners up for their business ideas, Adeposi Adeogun left the internship programme with Mac book as the overall winner.

Participants were presented certificates and other gift items as local and continental dishes were served in company of choice drinks.
