Lagos Hosts Conference of State Assemblies’ Speakers

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, is set to host the Conference of State Assemblies’ Speakers comprising the 36 speakers of the nation’s Houses of Assembly.

The conference, according a press release, signed by Hon. (Princess) Adefunmilayo Tejuoso, Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, and made available to The Boss, is scheduled to hold between Friday, August 3, and Sunday August 5, 2018, and will deliberate on national issues, especially those that have to do with the Legislative arm of Government.

The release further stated that the three day event will take place at the Radison Blue Hotel, Isaac John Street, Ikeja.

According to Hon Tejuoso, apart from their deliberations anchored on presentation of papers, the visiting Speakers, led by the host, Rt. Hon. Obasa, will attend a dinner on Friday organised by the host Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

On Saturday, August 4, speakers will take centre stage and present their papers, and thereafter, pay a solidarity visit to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress  (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Osuolale Akiolu.
The Speakers will later present their resolutions through a communique after the meeting, and depart Lagos for their various states on Sunday, August 5.
