Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture rounded off the Easter Celebrations with a colourful Boat Regatta held at the Waterfront, Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi.
The event which was used to showcase the aquatic splendour of Lagos was attended by top government officials, celebrities and the general public.

In his speech, Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Idiat Adebule said his administration will not waver in making the right investment in Lagos Waterways to make it cleaner, safer as well as transportation tourism friendly.

The event which had so much glitz and fun also witnessed a competition that was won by the well-decorated boat Feon Agbowa Ikosi while Fanti boat from Lagos Island came second.

In his remarks Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, noted that the event was hosted to showcase the huge potentials that abound in the Lagos water economy.

He noted that the event will be bigger and best next year.

Such personalities as the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, Former SSG, Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya, Former Deputy Governors, Alhaja Sinat Ojikutu and Otunba Femi Pedro, and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro attended the event.

Later that evening, there was a beautiful evening cruise hosted by the Ministry tagged #LagosTourismCruise. Amidst good music, drinks and excellent full course meal, guests savoured the sights and sounds of the centre of excellence.
