The Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Command, has concluded plans to stage a security concert for the youths tagged The Youth, a Tool for National Security.
The event, which comes up on March 20, 2018 at the Ade Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos, is targeted at youths of secondary and tertiary education age and beyond, and is designed to interract with the young ones towards swaying them from criminality, and have them mentored.
In a press statement signed by the Zone’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, the Command noted that the Police will no longer be satisfied with reactive tendencies, but has resolved to be more proactive in its activities.
“The Police rather than being reactive has decided to be proactive. The programme is designed to interact with the youths in order to sway them away from criminality and mentor them,” the statement read.
The youths are hereby advised to avail themselves of the opportunity to get acquainted with security measures, and get real mentorship for living.
