The 14th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, has visited the leader of Niger Republic’s Military Junta, General Tchani, possibly to deliberate on the situation in the country.
He was accompanied on the visit by the Emir of Damagaran.
It is not clear in what capacity the Sanusi II embarked on the trip to Niger, which is currently having a running battle with ECOWAS and has severed diplomatic relations with Nigeria, but reports say both men engaged in engaged a robust private discussion.
