Following the reported 48 hours uninterupted electricity enjoyed by the residents in the last two days, popular musician, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has praised the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, referring to him as the Lion of Abia. He wrote via his X handle, “The Lion of Abia. See as you dey totori progressive Nigerians. Well done.”
The steady electricity supply was made manifest as a result of the delivery and commissioning of the 188MN Geometric Power Plant in Aba. The project was opened on Monday, February 26, 2024 by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
The plant was commissioned alongside three roads in the metropolis built by Gov Otti.
Eulogising the governor, via the same handle, Charly Boy took quoted the governor’s words, emphasizing his commitment to utilizing Abia’s resources for the state’s development.
Governor Alex Otti had stated, “I am a billionaire, my sons are billionaires, I have only 3 children, no Godfather brought me into power, Abia money will go into Abia, I am looking to compete with Dubai, not Lagos.”
