Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, marked a historic moment on November 14, 2023, as he electrified the 02 Arena in London during his “Ravage Uprising” show.
The sold-out event, with a capacity of 20,000, witnessed an overflow of Nigerian celebrities and fans who flocked to London.
Rema joined the ranks of other award-winning Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake, who have successfully sold out the arena.
Rema’s entrance opened with his latest hit, “DND,” as he made a dramatic arrival on a stationary horse, adorned in a mask and a sleek black ensemble.
The performance transitioned into a melodic rendition of “Iron Man,” accompanied by a captivating display of Indian dance choreography on either side of the artist.
The “Calm Down” crooner continued to captivate the audience with a succession of his chart-topping hits, including “Dirty,” “Ginger Me,” “Addicted,” “Why,” “Dimension,” “Soundgasm,” “Fame,” “HOV,” “Trouble Maker,” “Lady,” “Don’t Leave,” “Dumebi,” “Bounce,” and “Charm,” showcasing the depth of his growing catalog.
A standout moment unfolded when Rema brought fellow Mavin Records signees, Ayra Starr, Crayon, and Magixx, on stage for a collaborative performance of “Won Da Mo.”
The climax of the night featured Rema’s rendition of his hit “Calm Down.”
Expressing gratitude before taking the stage, Rema thanked Burna Boy for his support and inspiration.
In a tweet, he shared, “Before I get on stage, I want to say a big thank you to @burnaboy for bringing me on stage two years ago.
“Today it’s my turn to conquer that same stage, and I wish you were here to share this moment with me. Regardless, I’m grateful for the motivation.”
