Just In: Asiwaju Michael Olawole-Cole is New LCCI President

Astute Administrator, Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole has been elected as the 24th President of the famous Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

Dr Olawale-Cole, a philanthropist extraordinaire and a Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9110 who succeeds  Mrs Toki Mabogunje will run the affairs of the Chmber for the next two years.

In statement released by Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director-General of LCCI, ” Olawale-Cole emerged as President after a duly conducted election at the Chamber’s 133rd Annual General  Meeting held on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

” Olawale-Cole was a two-time commissioner for Finance and Economic Development as well as Works and Transport in Lagos State. He served the Chamber previously in various capacities as Deputy President, Vice President, Chairperson, Public Affairs Commitee, Chairperson, Financial and General Purpose Committee among others.

“As Council Member and a key officer of the Chamber, he has brought his extensive knowledge and experience to bear and has provided inspirational leadership and direction for the success of the Chamber.

” His emergence as President will enhance the Chamber’s role as the  leading public policy advocate, promoting and protecting the interest of its members and the business community at large.

Asiwaju Olawale Cole is an accomplished business mogul and Founder, Colenson Group.
