By Eric Elezuo
The First Bank of Nigeria, one of the leading banks in the Nigeria’s economic environment, kicked off activities marking its 125 years of existence with a memorable flag hoisting ceremony at its headquarter office on the Marina, Lagos.

The event which brought together the who is who in First Bank’s administrative cadre, both past and present, was another statement of the bank’s first class service delivery to customers, staff and the nation in general.

The anchor of the prestigious gathering, Mrs Folake Ani-Mumuney, informed the gathering that the flag hoisting was first among a conglomeration of month-long activities lined up for the one century and a quarter ceremonies.

Among other events lined up in cerebration of the 125 years of service to humanity include Jumat and church services slated for March 22 and 24 respectively.

There will also be a special lecture slated for March 26

The ceremony was an opportunity to tell the story of First Bank’s “fortitude and engage with internal and external stakeholders that should be inspired to continue the journey as our group transcends into the next 125 years, a highly anticipated era of innovation and exponential growth and development.”
