The Senate of the United States of America has called for a credible, transparent and safe elections as the February 16 and March 2 general elections approach.
The US Senate made the call in a resolution released to the public where it noted that credible elections could further consolidate democratic gains achieved in Nigeria over the last two decades.
Among the resolutions include the affirmation that the US will stand by the people of Nigeria in support of peace and democracy.
