The embattled senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has again been moved from the Department of State Service (DSS) medical facility in Abuja, to a SARS facility in Guzape, according to family source.
The senator, who voluntarily surrendered himself to the Police after eight days siege at his Abuja home, was first taken to the Police medical where he was receiving treatment, having collapsed minutes after giving himself up.
In a commando style, masked security officers stormed the Police medical centre on Friday, and whisked him away to a DSS facility. It was reported that the outspoken speaker spent the night outside the clinic, having refused to go inside until he was told why he was brought to the facility.
The SARS centre in Guzape is the third in the series of places Melaye has been moved to in a space of few days.
The Police say Melaye is wanted to answer questions of his involvement in the shooting of a police officer last year. The senator has since denied the allegation.
