General Elections: INEC Says 84 Million Nigerians Registered To Vote

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that about 84 million voters will be participating in the 2019 general elections.

Chairman of the INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu stated this on Monday during a meeting with political leaders in Abuja.

Yakubu gave out the total number of registered voters to be 84,004,08 million.

The release of the list is part of the processes on INEC’s schedule for the election which is coming less than 40 days to the general elections.

The Presidential election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 16, 2019, alongside National Assembly elections.

While the governorship election and State Houses of Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2019.
