One of the major advantages of social media is the ease with which communication and keeping abreast on the happenings of the world has become. Individuals can keep in touch with loved ones, reach out to loved ones, and keep others updated on the events of their lives. Some of these individuals whose lives are of interest to the public and their social media presence is essential for their careers. These are 5 Nigerian artistes who have been able to gather the most followership on Instagram:

DAVIDO

The OBO of Nigeria, Davido, has amassed a massive, global followership in the real world and this is obvious in number of followers he has on Instagram. The Assurance crooner reaches an audience of about 8.5million on his page.

WIZKID

Another musician who has been able to translate his fan base to Instagram followership is Wizkid. The musician has a following of 6.6 million people on Instagram. The musician is followed closely by his “Stew” partner, TIWA SAVAGE, who has about 6.1 million followers on Instagram.

Other musicians, who reach a large audience through their Instagram pages, are OLAMIDE and 2BABA, with 4.2 and 3.4 million followers respectively.

Celebrities and musicians alike, have a lot influence on their fans and with social media interaction made possible, there is a large extent of influence this celebrities can have on their followers.
